Style : Pina Colada IPA ABV : 7.4% Bottle Size : 440ml Can We took a classic NE IPA malt base and added milk sugar to the boil to make this beer super creamy then we started putting together our cocktail inspired recipe starting with copious amounts of finely flaked untoasted coconut to the whirlpool, backed up by some zested lime; the key to this Sweet Liberty classic we were assured. In FV we brought the pineapple to the party, adding puree at 80g/L. Finally, some complementary dry hops in the shape of Citra, Sabro and Denali, all selected to accentuate key flavours. Designed for drinking on the beach or in the canal... (don’t forget your cocktail umbrella).
Northern Monk x Soma x Fuerst Wiacek Patrons Project 18.01 North Sea Sessions Northern Monk
Style : Session IPA ABV : 4.3% Bottle Size : 440ml Can We decided to really challenge ourselves with the recipe for this low ABV collaboration. To bulk out the light body as much as possible, we used Vienna as our base malt for its chunky, biscuit flavour and added the highest percentage of speciality adjunct grains we’ve ever attempted including oats, flaked wheat and chit malt, all with the goal of filling out the mouthfeel. In the boil we added unfermentable Maltodextrin sugar and then we hopped with the tropical intensity of Citra and Mosaic backed up with the classic New Zealand variety Nelson Sauvin, full of its white wine characteristics of gooseberry, grape and lime.
Northern Monk x Stigbergets x Garage Patrons Project 17.02 Tropical IPA Northern Monk
Style : IPA ABV : 7.0% Bottle Size : 440ml Can It didn’t take us long to decide on brewing something tropical and smashable, however deciding which fruits took a bit longer! Finally we settled on mango, passion fruit and a new one for us, papaya, a soft flesh fruit not dissimilar to mango but contributing a sharper, spicier flavour to the mix. The base beer is made up solely of barley malt and a large percentage of oats to which we added milk sugar and some dank whirlpool hops inthe shape of Columbus before fermenting with our house IPA strain. After fermenting out the residual sugar in the fruit, we dry hopped withEl Dorado, Cashmere, Simcoe and Mosaic Cryo to compliment the fruit as well as additional spice, pine and citrus flavour to the mix.
