Vibrant Forest Bourbon Oktober Vibrant Forest
Style : Russian Imperial Stout ABV : 9.0% Bottle Size : 330ml Bourbon Oktober, our 'house' BA Imperial Stout...if you can have such a thing. Black Oktober has been aged in Bourbon barrels, 6 month for each batch. Enjoy!
Vibrant Forest Dahlia Vibrant Forest
Style : Bretted Sour ABV : 3.5% Bottle Size : 750ml   Many moons ago, after we'd emptied our two Chardonnay barrels of their former saison offspring, we filled them back up with fresh, non-fruited/hopped Zuur. About a month into ageing, we also innoculated both barrels with Brettanomyces. Both barrels tasted very different at the end of maturing; one had taken on the Brett and carried the aroma you'd expect with lashings of dry funk and musty grapes whilst the other was suprisingly fruity with a surprising amount of apricot creeping in. These were both blended and this bottle holds their gift. Heavy Brett funk on the nose, bright mixed fruits on the tongue with dominant grape and apricot, and the finish is full of dry raspberry, tart grapes, and lingering bretty goodness.
Vibrant Forest Deccan Traps Vibrant Forest
Style : Sour Imperial Stout ABV : 9.4% Bottle Size : 330ml Liquorice is one of our favourite ingredients at Vibrant Forest and, as it's currently freezing in this wee brewery, we decided to both imperialise and sour things a little. The aroma is dense, the souring and the liquorice blending into a titanic wall of flavour. The palate takes an immediate assault. Upfront is a smouldering wall of thick imperial stout; the souring has sharpened off the expected roasted edges and is suprisingly balanced. The finish releases the liquorice on a wave of tart soy and roasted malts.
Vibrant Forest Fraxinus Vibrant Forest
Style : Pale Ale ABV : 4.5% Bottle Size : 440ml Can   In Fraxinus, Amarillo and HBC 431 has produced pure orange juice. It's smooth upfront with broad orange and mandarin juice flavours. The finish holds almost zero bitterness which leads to a very refreshing experience.
Vibrant Forest Imago Vibrant Forest
Style : Double IPA ABV : 8.0% Bottle Size : 440ml Can   Imago is the maturation of months of research into the soft and fruity styles of the East Coast. A fitting culmination of our hoppy exploits, Imago sees us throw our knowledge of soft bodied and ripe tropical hoppy alchemy at a Double IPA. Expect ripe mango, creamy pineapple, and bright apricot sat on a simple oated malt base and fermented on our juicy house yeast. For Imago, our designer implemented Hewlett Packard's Mosaic software. This takes one of 30 submitted images, and zooms/scales the image and uses the result for the can artwork. Therefore, each of the 5600 numbered cans is different from its siblings, creating 5600 individual and unique pieces. Which is cool. Beer itself is pretty excellent, which helps.
Vibrant Forest Pegasus Vibrant Forest
Style : IPA ABV : 6.2% Bottle Size : 440ml Can   Rhubarb is our favourite fruit to throw at beers. For years we've added it to various sours but now we're turning it towards an IPA. We've hopped Pegasus with Mosaic, for its mix of tropical and berried flavours, and Centennial, for that trademark hit of refreshing citrus and pine. Into this has gone a whole bunch of rhubarb which we've fermented on our house yeast to lend a rounded, fruity finish.
Vibrant Forest x Affinity Grizzly Pear Vibrant Forest
Style : Gose ABV : 4.3% Bottle Size : 440ml Can   We'd long been discussing about getting a brew together with the lovely chaps at Affinity when the idea for this one came along. We've brewed up this solid Gose, all tart and salty and full of coriander. Into this, we added tart gooseberry, and some smooth, sweet pear to level it out. Then Ben at Affinity gave it a terrible/wonderful name. Enjoy
Vibrant Forest x Dancing Man Shoal Vibrant Forest
Style : Pale Ale ABV : 4.3% Bottle Size : 440ml Can   For this brew we have teamed up with Southampton's Dancing Man Brewery. Shoal floats on a bed of simple sweet malts, is hopped entirely on Mosaic, and has a massive amount of peach thrown in to it. We've finished it off with a touch of vanilla to add that sweet hit that this brew deserves.
