Holy Goat Blood Eagle Holy Goat
Style : Sour ABV : 6.66% Bottle Size : 375ml A cross between a Flanders Red and a British Stock Ale, brewed with a mixture of crystal, amber and rye malts. Primary fermentation was undertaken with one of our favourite brettanomyces blends, in addition to our house culture of yeast and bacteria.The beer was then blended (70/30) with 2 year old Amber Sour Beer aged Rye Whiskey barrels.We transferred this blended beer directly onto the lees and spent fruit (200kg redcurrants/blackcurrants) from our previous Flanders Red - Blood Incantation, in addition to another 200 kg of whole victoria plums, harvested at Pittormie Fruit Farm, 7 miles from the brewery.A portion of these plums were smoked at the brewery, using oak staves from a red wine barrel. The resulting beer is complex and vinous, with a subtle smoke.Drink young or age. This will get weirder.
Holy Goat Goblin Cleaver Holy Goat
Style : Imperial Stout ABV : 10.0% Bottle Size : 440ml Can Mining the deepest darkest depths of our malt knowledge, we have endeavoured to create a chocolatey monster of a beer. Double mashed, with a complex malt bill including three different types of chocolate malts, along with crystal rye, wheat and oats. Drink young or age, this beer will develop over time.
Holy Goat Sunslayer Holy Goat
Style : Sour ABV : 7.2% Bottle Size : 375ml Sunslayer is an unhopped raw golden ale, brewed with local barley, wheat and rye. Raw beer describes the primarily historic practice of brewing beer without boiling the wort. this can create interesting nuance, providing a fresher, deeper malt character. We fermented this raw ale with a blend of Brettanomyces strains, along with our house culture of yeast and bacteria for 3 months. The beer was subsequently blended (80/20) with a 2-year-old golden sour ale, aged in wine barrels. this blend was then refermented with 200g/l of Spanish apricots and Tanzanian vanilla. the resultant beer has intense stone fruit, along with a delicate but growing funk.
